Set up once

• I require my approval for every purchase.
• I set a low spending limit (start small, like $50).
• I use a credit card, not a debit card.
• I keep one low-limit card just for online shopping (optional).
• Two-step sign-in is turned on for my shopping and email accounts.

Every time I shop

• I read the final screen: item, size, price, tax, shipping.
• I never share passwords, PINs, or one-time codes.
• I only use real apps — typed in myself, never from an ad.

Every week

• I check my order emails and my card statement.
• I report anything odd right away.

Red flags

• Rush, threats, or “keep it secret” = STOP.
• Gift cards, wire, crypto, or payment apps = SCAM.
• When in doubt, call the number on the back of my card.
